𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐘 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇 𝐖𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐎o𝐍 𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝟏𝟔 𝐉𝐔𝐋𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 𝐀𝐓 𝐄𝐓𝐀𝐇 𝐏𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐋
The association first general Assembly in the south West region Chaired by vice president Hon. Bar Nganje started as follows:
- Opening prayers. This prayer was lead by M. Bessong.
- Activities carried out.
- individual introduction.
- Presentation of the objectives of the association by the chairman (National Vice president) which includes:
- Creating job opportunities to the youths of Cameroon.
- To cancel the idea of Godfather stuffs in the minds of youths. i. e youths who thinks one can only acquire a job provided he or she has a Godfather.
- To stop other immoral youthful activities like the watching of pornography movies, drug addiction, the use of dangerous weapons and other deviant activities of the youths.
- Discussions:
- Developmental projects to help rally the youths of the south West regions of Cameroon and the North West.
- Provide employment to the youths of South West and North west.
- To change their mentality not to engage into criminal, immoral and indecent activities.
- Providing assistance to the vulnerable youths and the less privileges.
- The creation of an executive.
- The establishment of the regional bureau and the installation of its members.
- RECOMMENDATIONS REACHED AT
- JERC activities in the South West and North west regions should be reported.
- Before decisions are been taken at the centre, the said regions should be consulted if it will suite their activities.
- Work on changing the youth’s mentality and also to guide them about the kind of information they consume on social media.
- Put forth a plan of actions to enhances the association activities in the said regions of Cameroon.
- Visits should be paid to primary and secondary schools, universities and the Media.
- The promotion of sports activities and working in close collaboration with the regional delegation of youths and sports in the said regions to enhance JERC activities.
- The South West and North west need Peace clusters.
- The implementation of religious activities and make sure the youths incline in such activities and hence the strict and effective teaching of Religious studies in schools in both the South West and North west region of Cameroon.
- Social media activities should be regulated thoroughly. Parental control should be strictly applied.
- There should be age restrictions for youths’ consumption of certain products in the society even though they can afford them.
- Youths should make use of newspapers board readings.
- Conclusion
As unanimously agreed, all what’s discussed and recommendations reach at will be taken down to the National president in Yaoundé through the vice national president.
